The New York Jets reliever Joba Chamberlin could not keep his emotions in check as he celebrated the strikeout of Indians Dellucci with a huge scream and pumping of the fists during the game last Friday. A lot of discussions and deliberations about this act were carried out in print and TV media. The Jets manager Joe Girardi said that it was only the exuberance that is part of Joba that showed up on Friday and was not done intentionally to annoy any clubs. Joe said that a player is in his rights to let out his cheerfulness and joy on field. The Jets fans who bought tickets to watch the game in Detroit endorsed the view of the manager.
