IOC to adopt stringent measures to combat doping

The International Olympic Committee has decided to deal with doping in a stringent manner and the IOC Executive Board, after a lot of deliberations and discussions,  has recently approved the newly formulated Anti Doping Rules for the Olympic Games to be held in Beijing later this year. The new doping rules is a 41 page document will be circulated in advance to all the participating members of the Olympic Games and will also be made available in the official Olympics website. The newly formulated rules will stand for the entire length of the Olympic Games starting from July 27th to 24th of August.

 

The new anti doping procedures will mean that not only the top 5 athletes but two more athletes will be tested so that a total fair play from the players’ side is achieved during the Beijing Olympics. The new provision also states that any athlete can be subjected to doping tests without prior notice.
