Foxy Brown Released from NYC Jail

After a relatively long period of eight months, it is doubtless that the air outside of the NYC prison compounds has never smelled this good for Foxy Brown. The sassy rapper was almost in tears as she was greeted with a throng of family and friends just outside Rikers Island after being escorted out of prison. She was clearly in a repentant mood as she quickly stated her desire to first visit her church and ask God for forgiveness. Later on she was seen indulging in shopping in Harlem and munching on her favorite food before being chauffeured to her childhood home situated in Brooklyn, New York.

Foxy, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was first put on probation for attacking two female manicurists during August 2004 at a posh Manhattan nail establishment. She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and admitted she was wrong to have hit the women. Later on she violated the terms of said probation when she again lashed out at a woman with her cell phone and as a result was jailed a year after having the sentence passed to her in September 2007.
