MLB’s Colorado Rockies posted a 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday to take a 2-0 games lead in the best-of-seven NLCS. Colorado was leading 2-1 in the bottom of the 9th inning when the Diamondback Eric Byrnes drove in the trying run. However a base-running mistake that was made by Stephen Drew cost Arizona the potential winning run, sending the match into extra innings. The Rockies‘ winning margin came in the eleventh inning, when the Diamondbacks relief pitcher Valverde walked Taveras with the bases loaded that brought home the go-ahead run. The series now moves to Denver for game 3.
